We are both very busy with projects, studies and work right now so we need to take a break from blogging for a while. Hopefully the time and energy comes back to us soon. Meanwhile, thank you all for this time!

In school we continue studying greenhouses, this Friday we went on a study-visit to this lovely geranium-house – made me long for spring even more.
Hello litte English Lady – I love you!
And I got news! Yesterday I signed the contract for a new, bigger apartment. I’m moving on Saturday and I’m so excited to paint and decorate. And to have more space! The one happiest about the packing though (I hate to pack) is Solveig, every box is a new adventure.

Vi fortsätter studera växthus i skolan, älskar de engelska pelargonerna. Och igår skrev jag under hyreskontraktet på en ny, större lägenhet så just nu bor jag i ett flyttkaos – på lördag går lasset.
This Tuesday I was on a Japanese Night. We are a group of friends that have an allotment plot together and we decided to have the first “what-to-plant-and-grow-this-year”-meeting of the year. One of us, Sofia, just visited Japan so we had a Japanese theme food-wise with amongst other courses okonomi yaki, daikon and wakame and Ida made ginger-cupcakes with wasabi-frosting (recipe here). Soo good!

I tisdags var jag på japansk afton och årets första planeringsmöte för den kolonilott som jag delar med några vänner, mycket fint!
I’ve been very inspired lately, baking, painting, sewing…I just can’t seem to keep my fingers still. Today an idea just popped into my head and I had to do it immediately. In fact I was so overcome by my muse, that I missed my yoga class and was almost late for a lunch appointment. Here is what I did.
2012 Shoe Makeover
1. Old pair of shoes
2. All purpose craft paint (I used Martha Stewarts– it comes in SO many colors)
3. Tape (I used painters tape but I’m guessing any old masking tape would work fine)
4. Paint brush or sponge
5. Scissors (depending on your design)
Once you have decided on a pattern (the possibilities are endless) and taped it into place, start painting. Make sure that all the edges of the tape are pressed down firmly to the surface of the shoe. My shoes needed two coats with some drying time in-between. Within about 2 hrs and had these funky, unique new shoes. Now I want to try it out with other colors and designs.

Today we’ve studied greenhouse-constructions at the University – freezing cold but interesting (just wished it was tropical ones on the schedule instead).
Bright blue sky and snow in the air.
Even though I’m longing a lot, a lot, a lot for spring, it’s beautiful with sunny, crispy winter days.
Research on different sorts of apple. (But we looked more on building construction).
If it’s cold you better stand close. Lisa has some kind of model-look going on and I wear all the green scarves I could find.
